Manaslu Circuit Trek is a recently opened trekking trail that takes trekkers to the foothill of such a divine mountain. Mount Manaslu (8163 m) is the most spiritual mountain of Nepal and also the world’s eighth tallest. Moreover, this trek in Nepal is an amalgamation of hilly rural society, water resources, high altitude passes, mountain vistas, and the Himalayan landscape. It is the only trekking route of Nepal which covers the Manaslu region and Annapurna region. It is the destination that is on the border to Tibet as well as various factors make it the restricted region of Nepal Trekking.

Manaslu Circuit Trek can’t be done without getting a special permit from Nepal Government. The license holder guide should accompany the trekkers. The route is highly attractive as trekkers will start walking from the hilly area and move to high altitude Himalayan pass then descend back to the hilly area. Annapurna Circuit Trek route is also encompassed in this trekking route.

September, October, November and early March to late May are the best time for Manaslu Circuit Trek. Larke pass elevation is 5135m. Manaslu region is a Restricted trekking part of Nepal and requires every tourist to have a registered guide who is government authorized individual.

The journey starts from Kathmandu by bus or private vehicle drive to Soti Khola. Trekkers will walk through green lush forests, terraced farmlands, waterfalls, and multiethnic villages. Machhakhola, Jagat, Deng, Namrung, Samagoan, Samdo, and Dharapani are the villages that are en-route to the Manaslu Circuit Trek. Trekkers will have to get two permits for this trek i.e. Annapurna region trekking permit and Manaslu Trek permit.

The crossing of Larke La Pass (5135 m) is the most adventurous activity to do on this trek. Trekkers will be blessed by the view of panoramic mountains. Day 11 – Sama Gaon, rest day, visit Gompa or Trek to Manaslu base camp 4,800m (15,750ft).

Day 12 – Trek to Samdo 3,738m (12,263ft) 4 hrs.

Day 13 – Trek to Dharamshala 4460m (14,632ft) 4 hrs.

Day 14 – Cross over Larke Pass 5,213m (17,103ft).

Day 15 – Trek to Bhimtang 3,590m (11,778 ft) 8 hrs.

Day 16 – Trek to Tilje 3,010m (9,875ft) 6 hrs.

Day 17 – Trek to Syange, 1,175m (3,854ft) 6 hrs.

Day 18 – Jeep to Besishahar 825m (2,706ft), then bus to Kathmandu.
